Description

Inspired by Michelangelo’s fresco The Creation of Man.
The artwork presents an interpretation of the origins of the modern woman.
The painting depicts a process in which the man presents himself as the liberator of the woman, but in reality, he gains even greater control over her fate.
At the center of the painting, the man is seen reclining on a couch, handing toilet paper to the woman.
This is a metaphor for feminism and “equality” between the sexes.
The roll of toilet paper symbolizes its true value.
The woman, sitting on a toilet with an open door, naively accepts this “gift,” losing all sense of modesty and shame.
The man’s erection in the painting symbolizes the success of sexual liberation – he has managed to turn the woman into a soulless body, a sexual object, all under the guise of “liberation” and “empowerment.”
Instead of progressing, the woman returns to a nearly primal, animalistic state, losing awareness of what is appropriate and what is shameful.
The book in the woman’s hand (The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin) reveals the mechanism – through postmodern ideas, she is convinced of her “liberation.”
But this liberation drains her of her true essence.
She loses her identity, her dignity, and her soul, and becomes exactly what he thinks he wants – a body without a soul, subject to his control.
The hollow, emotionless look on their faces indicates the outcomes of modernism and the Enlightenment of the modern era, in light of the distancing from our humanity, our souls, and the divine light.
The result of this game has only one winner, and it is neither the man nor the modern woman.
